The Tia’s Treasures Team truly believes that kindness can change the world therefore we are RAKtivists and we participate in Random Acts of Kindness alongside our fundraising.
A RAKtivist’ is short for ‘Random Acts of Kindness activist’, think of RAKtivists like kindness ambassadors and like all ambassadors they’re a part of an active, global community.
RAKtivists are everywhere. The student who stops to hold the door open for a teacher with her hands full? That person is a RAKtivist. The commuter who offers their bus seat to an elderly passenger? That person is a RAKtivist too. The parking attendant who leaves a note on someone’s car, complimenting their parking skills? You guessed it: RAKtivist. Anyone who truly believes that kindness can change the world, who reminds everyone around them how much love there is in the world, who inspires hope and generosity with their actions as much as their words they’re a RAKtivist.
The Random Acts of Kindness that we participate in are as follows
- Handing out small envelopes containing Tia’s handmade treasures.
- Hiding small envelopes containing Tia’s handmade treasures.
- Decorating and hiding rocks featuring painted pictures, sparkles and glitter or inspirational quotes, we believe that just one message at just the right time can change someone’s entire day, outlook or even life. Whenever you are out and about, keep your eyes peeled for our Tia’s Treasures Rocks you never know where they may be hidden. If you are lucky enough to find one, simply take a photograph of yourself with the rock or just the rock if you prefer and post it to the Tia’s Treasures Facebook Page or Group then either take your rock home or rehide it for someone else to find. Our rocks will feature #TiasTreasures
