TT Lucky Ducks \u2013 Spreading Smiles, One Duck at a Time<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the Christmas break of 2024, the Tia\u2019s Treasures Team found a new way to have some festive family fun \u2013 by hiding tiny ducks around the house! What began as a simple game quickly became a cherished tradition, with everyone joining in and laughter filling the rooms as the ducks were discovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inspiration behind this playful idea came from a more personal place. Toby, the youngest member of the Tia\u2019s Treasures Team, had been going through a difficult time at school resulting in EBSA (Emotional Based School Anxiety\/Avoidance). To help ease his anxiety once in School, Toby started having lunch in Mrs Redhead, the principal\u2019s office It was there that he discovered her \u201cLucky Duck\u201d \u2013 a handmade glass duck from Whitby, known as a Whitby Lucky Duck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toby loved the idea of the Lucky Duck and would come home eager to talk about it. Soon, both Toby and his brother Tommy had an idea: what if they hid ducks for others to find, as part of Tia\u2019s Treasures\u2019 Random Treasures of Kindness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that\u2019s exactly what we did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by Mrs Redhead’s Lucky Duck we decided to launch our own version: TT Lucky Ducks – named after Tommy and Toby, and of course, Tia’s Treasures who proudly sponsor the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we designed special tags and stickers sourced a variety of ducks, and began our very own TT Lucky Ducks adventure. The ducks started to \u201cfly the nest,\u201d bringing smiles to the faces of those lucky enough to find them. For Tommy and Toby, it\u2019s become a joyful part of their daily walk to and from school \u2013 a walk that\u2019s over a mile each way!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We later discovered that there\u2019s a global duck-hiding trend \u2013 from Cruise Ducks found on ships, to Duck Duck Jeeps hidden on vehicles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
